Man Sues Rapper Beanie Sigel for Concert Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CN) - Dwight Grant, who raps under the stage name Beanie Sigel, was sued in County Court by a man who says he was shot in the chest while attending the Beanie Sigel & Friends Birthday Celebration.

Tyheem Baker claims that his shooter had a history of violence or substance abuse, and security should have checked for weapons at the door.

Clear Channel Communications, which owned the radio station that organized the event, is one of about 10 other entities named as a defendant in the lawsuit filed Friday.
