Liability for driving immigrants

MIAMI — A federal court in Florida granted the Farmworker Association of Florida’s motion for a preliminary injunction in its case challenging a state statute that made it a crime to transport illegal immigrants into Florida. The group is likely to win on its argument that the law is preempted by federal law.
