L.A. Area Men Accused of Revenge Porn

LOS ANGELES (CN) - Two L.A.-area men were arrested Thursday and charged with conspiring to hack into women's email accounts to steal nude photos that were posted on a revenge porn website.

Hunter Moore, 27, of Woodland Hills, and Charles Evens, 25, of Studio City, are charged in a 15-count indictment that was unsealed after they were arrested.

They are charged with conspiracy, seven counts of unauthorized access to a protected computer and seven counts of aggravated identity theft,

Moore ran the website isanyoneup.com, where he posted revenge pornography, according to the indictment. Moore paid Evens to hack into email accounts to get more photos, prosecutors said.

The men are believed to have victimized hundreds of women.

Conspiracy and computer hacking are punishable by up to 5 years in federal prison. Aggravated identity theft is punishable by a mandatory 2-year sentence, to run consecutively with any other sentence imposed.
