LOS ANGELES (CN) - Former Rutan & Tucker litigator Karen Scott was sworn in Tuesday as a magistrate judge in Federal Court in Los Angeles, replacing Robert Block.
The new magistrate judge was born and raised in Orange County, graduated in 1996 from Stanford Law and defended consumer class action suits.
Scott also served as a director for a constitutional-rights foundation that helps educate Orange County high school students.
