Justices Toss Ruling on ‘Wardrobe Malfunction’

(CN) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday vacated a ruling that tossed out a $550,00 indecency fine against CBS for the famous "wardrobe malfunction" incident at the 2004 Super Bowl that exposed Janet Jackson's breast to viewers for 9/16ths of a second.

The justices ordered the 3rd Circuit to review the case in light of their decision last week in FCC v. Fox Television Stations, which upheld the FCC's ability to fine broadcasters for brief moments of indecency.
