WASHINGTON (CN) - The criminal justice system might change? The Justice Department's National Institute of Corrections is testing links between criminal justice decisions and defendant behavior, to develop a system that informs the decisions of judges, prosecutors, public defenders and others.
Specifically, the department is concerned with the risk of re-offending and pretrial conduct, and what decisions best shape preferred behavior. The institute seeks proposals from organizations, groups or individuals for the eighteen month development phase of the project. Click here for details and other new notices and regulations.
