ROCKVILLE, MD. (CN) - A U.S. citizen of Afghani descent says an Extra Space Storage manager stuck a loaded gun at his head and threatened to pull the trigger because the manager thought he had not cleaned out his storage unit correctly. The 20-year old plaintiff says the attack left him unable to return to work, providing the U.S. military with "cultural awareness training for our troops."
Fahim Rafiq sued Extra Space Storage and its manager Corey Eudell in Montgomery County Court. He demands punitive damages for assault and battery, negligence and false imprisonment. He says the attack was witnessed by two people who were helping him clear out his storage space.
Rafiq is represented by Matthew Simmons of Bethesda.
