WASHINGTON (CN) - The Office of Foreign Assets Control has reissued the Iranian Transactions Regulations in their entirety after amendments, and renamed them the Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations.
The action implements a February executive order and subsections of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012.
The OFAC also has added several new general licenses to the ITSR, removed a few general licenses, and incorporated into the ITSR a general license and a statement of licensing policy that, until now, have appeared only on the OFAC's Web site on the Iran sanctions page.
