HOUSTON (CN) - Forms Direct claims competitors copied its Web site, "ImmigrationDirect.com," to launch a competing site. Plaintiff says it sells, "at an affordable price, the proper immigration forms to file" in pursuit of citizenship or legal immigrant status.
Plaintiff sued Ahmed Mashnoon, Sanobar Kahn, Mueen Akhter, Gregory Ricks, and their companies, ImmigrationHome, and Mashnoon LLC, all of Houston, on trademark claims.
Plaintiff says its Web site offers a free quiz to help users decide whether they qualify for benefits, and then a paid service that "for a fee, assists the user in properly completing one or more immigration application forms customized to the user's particular situation, which the customer then prints and files with the USCIS".
Plaintiff is represented in Federal Court by James Bettis.
