LOS ANGELES (CN) - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has fired - or not reappointed - Clint Eastwood from the state Parks Commission, apparently because the actor opposes the governor's plan to build a freeway through San Onofre Beach State Park, a surfers' Mecca. Eastwood said Schwarzenegger knew he opposed that project years before the governor began pushing it, in January. "You're not going to get people who are interested in state parks who want to build freeways through state parks," Eastwood told the Los Angeles Times. "So I don't know what the big surprise was there."
