Jonathan Bydlak and his company Bydlak & Associates sued Johnson and his campaign committees, Gary Johnson 2012 Inc., Our America Initiative, two other corporations and three people, in Federal Court.
Bydlak claims Johnson and his Our American Initiative, a Political Action Committee, hired him in 2010 to raise money for Johnson’s campaign.
Bydlak says he was to receive a signing bonus, monthly payments and 10 percent commission on the money he raised. He says in his complaint that he raised more than $500,000 but was paid only a handful of times and only partially paid, when he was paid at all.
As the Johnson Campaign is nearing insolvency, Bydlak also sued the PAC and other contractors for the campaign, and representatives of the campaign who Bydlak says falsely promised to correct the billing delays and set aside money to pay the late invoices.
Bydlak is represented by Charles Burnham.
He seeks damages for fraud, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.
Named as defendants are Gary Johnson, as well as Gary Johnson 2012 Inc., Our American Initiative, NSON Inc., Daines Goodwin & Company PC, Chet Goodwin, Ronald T. Neilson and Kim Blanton.
