Freed Al Jazeera Cameraman Seeks Release|Of Another Prisoner From Guantanamo

WASHINGTON (CN) - Sami al Hajj, the Sudanese cameraman for Al Jazeera who was freed from Guantanamo on May 1 after more than 6 years imprisonment, has filed a habeas petition on behalf of a Syrian prisoner who is imprisoned there virtually incommunicado without access to counsel.

Al Hajj filed the petition on behalf of Moammar Badawi Dokhan. They are represented by Kristine Huskey with the University of Texas Law School of Austin.
