Fox News cleared of candidate’s RICO claims

COLUMBUS, Ga. — A federal judge in Georgia dismissed a racketeering lawsuit against Fox News, its host Brian Kilmeade and Republican politician Jeremy Hunt by a congressional candidate who claims the cable news channel used exaggerated credentials and misleading representations to promote Hunt’s candidacy on Fox News during the 2022 Republican primary election.

Wayne Johnson's claims for mail and wire fraud, based on unequal airtime given to Hunt, were not plausibly alleged, according to the decision.
