Florida Says Credit Counselors Are Bogus

JACKSONVILLE (CN) - The State of Florida says Ryan Boyd and Curtis Wood defrauded consumers with deceptive "credit counseling services" through their companies, Future Financial Direct and Provident Financial Services.

They threw customers into debt, into lawsuits, ruined their credit, and charged illegally high fees to do it, the State says in Duval County Court.
