Ferry Services

The Ninth Circuit upheld the dismissal of a complaint against the executive director and commissioners of the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission brought by individuals who were prohibited from providing intrastate ferry services on Lake Chelan. The commission determined the proposed services would interfere with the current ferry operator’s franchise rights.
