HOUSTON (CN) - The family of an information technology specialist who was killed by an IED in Iraq sued a web of contractors and subcontractors who employed the late Tareq Alhalabi when he was blown up on Oct. 30, 2006.
Alhalabi worked for Eastern Solutions, which was a subcontractor or Perini Corp., which in turn was a subcontractor of Halliburton, the family says. He died while being driven in a convoy organized by lead defendant Hart Security, hired by Perini.
Alhalabi died while on the road from Tallil Air Force Base to Basra. The family says the defendants knew the road was not safe, but sent him anyway, in the lead vehicle. They are represented in Federal Court by Arthur Sadin of Friendswood, Texas.
