WASHINGTON (CN) - The Department of Justice on Thursday filed a False Claims Act complaint against CA Inc., a Long Island-based information technology company.
The Justice Department claims that CA, of Islandia, N.Y., has overcharged the government since 2006 for software licenses and maintenance.
Some of the allegations were first brought in a qui tam whistleblower case filed by Dani Shemes, a former employee of CA Israel. The government intervened and filed its own case.
Agencies that purchase under CA's contract include the Department of Defense, the
Department of Energy, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Labor, the Justice Department said in a statement.
