WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CN) - Former Mets player Lenny Dykstra, nicknamed Nails, paid for a one-way charter flight from New Jersey to California with a bogus $25,000 check, Universal Jet Aviation claims in Palm Beach County Court.
The three-time All-Star is now president of several businesses in Southern California, including The Players Club, which teaches athletes how to invest and protect their assets.
Represented by Mark Goldstein, the charter jet company demands the amount of the check, plus treble damages and attorney fees.
