Environmentalists Want Coal Reg Killed

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. (CN) - Environmental groups want a federal judge to order Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to kill the Bush administration's Christmas Eve gift to polluting coal companies. Bush's Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne gave coal companies carte blanche to pollute streams on Dec. 24. The Ohio River Valley Environmental Coalition wants the midnight regulation killed.
