    Our Employer of the Day is Axiom International Investors, of Greenwich, Conn. Axiom is accused of firing a vice president because, her boss claimed, “‘no one is going to give a pregnant woman money’ to invest,” in Bridgeport Federal Court.

   


    A class-action complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court accuses Longwood Management Corp. and 28 other health-care companies of stiffing workers for overtime.


 


    Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Hertz, and Coldwater Creek Inc., in Alameda County Court, Oakland; Mangen Group, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Silver Star Motor Co., in Ventura County Court, Simi Valley; New Windcup Holdings, in Chicago Federal Court; Park Manor Health & Rehabilitation, and Morning Pointe Assisted Living, in Tuscaloosa Federal Court; The Tower Group, in Tampa Federal Court; Ocean Blue Contractors, and Restaurant at the Falls, in Miami Federal Court; Lollipop Kids Cut and Photo Studio, in Fort Lauderdale Federal Court; and Drain Master of South Florida, in West Palm Beach Federal Court.
