The University of Michigan discriminates against female nurse practitioners and physicians assistants by paying them less than similarly situated men, 30 named women claim in a class-action complaint in Washtenaw County Court, Ann Arbor.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., in Orange County Court, Calif.; American Pool Service of Georgia, in Atlanta Federal Court; LandAmerica Financial Group and Lawyers Title, in Los Angeles Superior Court; Covenant Mortgage, in Alexandria, Va., Federal Court; and First Coast Lubes, in Jacksonville Federal Court.
