A superior court class action claims Los Angeles County unfairly appropriates earned time off and vacation leave from employees who take military leave.

Class-action complaints alleging Labor Code violations have been filed against these defendants: JD Hicks and Associates and Service Employees International Union, HG Communications, and Preferred Response Security Services and Standard Parking Corp., in Los Angeles Superior Court; Gerson Lehrman Group, in Manhattan Federal Court; McCormick & Schmick Restaurant Group, in Suffolk County Court, Boston; Wells Fargo, Builders Services Group, and Hana Security Services, in Chicago Federal Court; Dycom Industries and Prince Telecom, in Seattle Federal Court; First Advantage Litigation Consulting, in Pittsburgh Federal Court; and 3M Co., in an age discrimination claim in San Jose Federal Court.

(Companies not separated by commas are defendants in the same case.)
