Doctors Accuse Cook County Of Bias

CHICAGO (CN) - The Cook County Bureau of Health Services shut down the entire orthopedic and podiatric surgery department at Provident Hospital, where the county assigned a disproportionately large numbers of its black and female physicians, and laid off three doctors to retaliate for their support of a union to fight discrimination, the doctors claim in Federal Court.
