Disqualified judge

NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana Supreme Court temporarily disqualified Lafayette City Court Judge Michelle Odinet, who was recently recorded while using a racial slur. The judge motioned for her temporary disqualification without pay and said she would consider “what’s best for her and her community” during her leave, but Governor John Bel Edwards has called for her to resign.
