MILWAUKEE — A federal court in Wisconsin approved a partial settlement between conservative law firm Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty and the state bar, which has agreed to allow all first-year law students — not just those who come from traditionally disadvantaged backgrounds — to apply for paid clerkships through its Diversity Clerkship Program.
