MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals upheld the conviction and death sentence of Stephon Lindsay, who confessed to brutally murdering his 21-month-old daughter with a hatchet. He claimed he killed his child because his god told him to. The court rejected his argument that he lacked the capacity to appreciate the criminality of his conduct.
