Customs Allows More Time for Some Duty-Free Goods

WASHINGTON (CN) – U.S. Customs and Border Protection has changed the deadline to file paperwork on duty-free educational goods imported under the Beirut Agreement to 314 days after the date of entry, from the current 90 days.      Since 1948, the Beirut Agreement has provided signatory nations with exemptions on import duties, import licenses, special taxes, quantitative restrictions and other restraints and costs for educational audiovisual materials.     Click the document icon for this regulation and others.
