Cup Noodles maker cleared of false advertising claim

BROOKLYN — A federal court in New York threw out false advertising claims against the maker of Cup Noodles and Top Ramen over the “No Added MSG” label on their packaging. Because the labels also have a disclaimer saying the products contain “small amounts of naturally occurring glutamates,” the court rules that reasonable consumers would not be misled into believing they have no MSG at all.
