Credit Card Companies Win Price-Fixing Ruling

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - The 9th Circuit upheld dismissal of an antitrust class action accusing credit card companies of conspiring to fix prices charged to businesses that allow credit card transactions. "Allegations of facts that could just as easily suggest rational, legal business behavior by defendants as they could suggest an illegal conspiracy are insufficient to plead a violation of the antitrust laws," Judge Bea wrote.
