ANCHORAGE - The Alaska Seafood Cooperative claims the National Marine Fisheries closure of commercial fishing of Atka mackerel and Pacific cod in the western and central Aleutian Islands, to protect the Steller sea lion, was based on unsound science and will cost fishermen 250 jobs and $44 million; they want it enjoined.
