HOUSTON (CN) - A citizen wants Harris County District Attorney Charles Rosenthal and Sheriff Tommy Thomas removed for misconduct. Erik Ibarra claims Rosenthal drinks on the job, uses and tolerates racial epithets, "has found the sexual assault of women to be 'funny,'" hired his mistress as his secretary for $75,000 a year, then gave her a $11,000 raise, and admitted using county employees and equipment to raise political money. Ibarra claims Sheriff Thomas refuses to investigate or act on this, and has accepted political favors.
