Chloroprene emissions

NEW ORLEANS — A federal court in Louisiana denied DuPont’s effort to dismiss the federal government’s lawsuit against it and the operator of a neoprene manufacturing plant leasing DuPont’s property. The plant’s chloroprene emission rates allegedly pose an “imminent danger” to public health in communities surrounding it, and because DuPont could interfere with the plant’s compliance with emission reduction orders, it will remain a defendant.
