Carmel Gallery Duped Them|On Ansel Adams Print, Couple Say

SALINAS, CALIF. (CN) – A married couple say they paid $25,000 for an Ansel Adams photo because Carol Williams and her store, Photography West Gallery, of Carmel, certified that it was a print made in the 1930s – but it was made in the 1960s – and the defendants refuse to return the money. The photo is “Gottardo Piazzoni in this Studio, San Francisco, circa 1932.” See complaint in Monterey County Court.
