WASHINGTON — A federal court in Washington denied former President Donald Trump’s request to block the release of documents to the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, finding public interest lies in allowing the government to study the events of that day and what led to them in order to develop legislation to “prevent such events from ever occurring again.”
