ATTORNEY FEES - A law firm tried to modify its contingency fee agreement with a client midway through trial.A California appeals court found that the lower court properly ordered the firm to release funds it wrongfully withheld from their former client, Tunzi, in its attempt to recover attorney fees. The modifications did not comply with the Business and Professions Code sections related to contingency-fee agreements.
