Bullied at work

JACKSON, Miss. — A federal court in Mississippi preserved a former equipment rental company employee’s claim for sexual harassment, but not for religious discrimination, in light of claims that his supervisor mocked him for his Pentecostal religion and his presumed sexuality, namely his “limp wrists” and “effeminate speech patterns.” Mocking Pentecostals for “speaking in tongues” one time does not give rise to a Title VII claim, but the sexual harassment one is well pleaded.
