LOS ANGELES – MGM and Orion Pictures sued the screenwriter and director of the 1984 sci-fi comedy film "The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai Across the 8th Dimension" this past week, saying the men are thwarting the studios' efforts to turn the film into a TV series with false claims of ownership rights.
