BEAUMONT, TEXAS (CN) – A state inmate claims a doctor committed “medical battery” on him by removing a bullet from his head without his permission, and giving the bullet to police to use as evidence against him.
Joshua Bush says he was a state inmate when the Port Arthur Police Department delivered him to the doctor because it “desired to use the bullet as evidence against Mr. Bush in a criminal prosecution.”
Bush claims he did not consent to the surgery, but the doctor “made the offensive contact” anyway and cut into his forehead “in an attempt to remove a bullet.”
Bush’s claim does not say how the bullet got there. He demands damages for medical battery and emotional distress. He is represented in Jefferson County Court by Danny Scott Jr.
