NEW ORLEANS — The Fifth Circuit upheld the conviction of the Los Angeles Angels’ former director of communications, who was found guilty of distributing oxycodone and fentanyl, resulting in pitcher Tyler Skaggs’ death. During closing arguments, the prosecutor did not misstate evidence related to deleted text messages, the fact that the director was the only source of oxycodone or doctors’ testimonies regarding the cause of death.
