SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Supreme Court dismissed Chicago Alderman Byron Sigcho-Lopez’s suit alleging his predecessor Daniel Solis’ campaign committee illegally paid personal legal fees from campaign funds. The funds went to a firm Solis retained when he began cooperating with an FBI in its investigation into corruption by Illinois public officials.
