The Apache Tribe of Oklahoma sued the Oklahoma Water Resources Board and The Oklahoma Water Conservation Storage Commission for declaration of its groundwater rights, in Oklahoma City Federal Court. (Lipan Apaches were the easternmost band of the tribe; members of other bands were deported to Oklahoma Territory and imprisoned there.)
