CHICAGO — A federal court in Illinois granted class certification to individuals whose fingerprints were registered with an auto-gate system at BNSF Railway’s facilities in the state between April 4, 2014, and Jan. 25, 2020. The lead plaintiff, whose work as a truck driver required him to visit the defendant’s railyards, claims the company violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.
