SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — A federal court in Illinois denied summary judgment to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University and SIU Physicians & Surgeons in a suit brought by a physician who claims the defendants violated the federal and state Equal Pay Acts by underpaying her compared to her male colleagues. The court ruled there are triable issues of fact as to whether the surgeon and her comparators performed equal work.
