Vaccines for teens

ALBANY, N.Y. — A family court improperly granted an attorney’s application to vaccinate two teenagers in foster care against Covid-19, an appeals court in New York ruled. The lower court should have held a hearing before approving the request, as the children’s mother objected to them getting the shot and guidance prohibits local agencies from administering the vaccine if a child refuses to consent.
