FRESNO, Calif. — A federal court in California granted the Board of Trustees of California State University’s request to dismiss a financial aid claim brought by female lacrosse players against Fresno State, finding the plaintiffs haven’t shown that the share of athletics-based financial aid for female student athletes was less than the female share of the student athlete population at the university.
