One of several deeply aged statues at the entrance to the Odeon of Agrippa, located in the center of the Ancient Agora of Athens. While the odeon is long gone, it featured seating for 1,000, a raised stage and a marbled orchestra. The original building collapsed due to its 82-foot roof span in 150 A.D. The Herulians destroyed the successor structure in 267. (Courthouse News photo / William Dotinga)
