The United States sued ZF Friedrichshafen, of Germany, and Wabco Holdings, of Michigan, in federal court, saying their proposed $7 billion merger would violate antitrust law by combining “two of the leading global suppliers of components used in the manufacture of large commercial vehicles,” including trucks and buses.
