WASHINGTON (CN) - Lead exposure from children's products is the subject of the reports the Environmental Protection Agency is collecting; the twist is that the EPA is only demanding the unpublished health and safety reports from manufacturers and importers of children's products that also manufacture or import lead or lead compounds.
Congress has forced the EPA to implement lead testing by putting lead and its compounds on the Toxic Substances Control Priority Testing List. The EPA is collecting data to further this goal. Click here for details and other new regulations and notices.
