LITTLE ROCK (CN) - During a labor strike, Kohler Co. hired 140 replacement workers by promising them full-time jobs, and repeatedly promised that they would not be replaced when and if the strike was settled, knowing that its promises were lies, 62 named plaintiffs say in Federal Court. When the strike was settled after more than a year, Kohler fired all 140 of them with no notice on March 6, the workers say.
The replacement workers demand 60 days pay under the WARN Act, and punitive damages.
