BROOKLYN, N.Y. (CN) - A New York appellate division dismissed a former altar boy's claim that the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York tried to cover up the sexual abuse of children by parish clergy.
The alleged victim failed to show that church officials "engaged in affirmative wrongdoing, fraud, deception or misrepresentations" that forced him to file his claim after the three-year statute of limitations, the court wrote.
